About

Value lives in relationships

I am an Associate Professor of Management and Organization at The Pennsylvania State University. My research uses the embeddedness perspective to understand how individuals and firms appropriate rent from the value created by relational capital.

Originally from South Korea, I earned my PhD in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland, College Park. Before joining Penn State, I served on the faculty in the Strategy Area at Purdue University's Mitch Daniels School of Business.

My research interests encompass strategic human capital, entrepreneurship, corporate strategy, and their intersection. I serve on the editorial boards of Organization Science and Strategic Management Journal.
